Frankincense & Myrrh: Two Ancient Resins, One Simple Skin Oil

Some botanicals are trendy. Frankincense and myrrh are something else entirely — two resins treasured across cultures for thousands of years, traditionally used on the skin for their grounding, aromatic qualities.

Dr. Casey's Frankincense & Myrrh Oil ($24.95) infuses both resins into nourishing castor and jojoba oils — a simple, aromatic skin oil made small-batch right here in Lucedale, MS. Massage a small amount into the skin as desired. For external use only.

And it isn't only ancient tradition. In a double-blind, randomized, split-face study, a topical cream containing boswellic acids — the compound family from frankincense — was associated with improvement in photo-aged facial skin (Phytotherapy Research, 2010). Jojoba, the carrier oil here, has its own dermatology literature review describing its long-standing use in skin care (G Ital Dermatol Venereol, 2013).

You'll find it with the rest of Dr. Casey's small-batch line on our app: brilliant-llama-3aba62.netlify.app. A heads-up: this one is made in very small batches, so if it shows out of stock, check back soon.
