The kettle kept its seat

National Coffee Day lands every September 29 with free mediums, app deals, and a feed full of pour-overs. We're not here to talk anyone out of coffee.

We're here for the other sound in a lot of Lucedale kitchens: the kettle. Honey in the spoon. Lemon on the cutting board. Cinnamon or ginger waking up in a mug while the house is still quiet.

Wellness writing this month has been circling the same idea: care moving back toward the kitchen, toward rituals you can see and smell, toward jars that don't need an app to explain them. That's good company for homemakers who already knew the kettle had a seat at the table.

A warm cup is comfort and habit, the kind you share and teach.
