Yom Teruah — the Day of Sounding
Yom Teruah is near — the Day of Sounding.
The Torah sets the first day of the seventh month apart as a memorial of blowing (*teruah*): a holy convocation, with ordinary work set aside (**Leviticus 23:23–25**; see also **Numbers 29:1**). At Stanford Clinic & Herb Shop in Lucedale, we use that biblical name for the feast.
If you’re gathering with family or keeping a quieter remembrance, we’re glad to share the season with our neighbors. For storefront hours or herb-shop questions, call **(601) 947-0250** (call only).
